Kate came to me ready for her next chapter. After building a loyal following and a thriving commission art studio under From The Paint Shed, she had quietly outgrown the brand she started with in 2020. She knew it. Her numbers knew it. She just needed someone to help her step fully into the space she had been growing into.
The brief was deceptively simple. A new name, a new brand, a new website. But underneath that sat something much bigger. How do you honour who someone has always been while building something that reflects who they are becoming?

The Strategy:
Before a single colour was chosen or a logo sketched, we built the foundation. A full brand strategy document covering Kate's purpose, vision, mission, core values, audience avatars, competitor analysis, positioning, tone of voice and website strategy. Because a brand that looks beautiful but has no strategic backbone is just decoration.
Kate's positioning became the anchor for everything that followed. She is the only artist in her market who combines an established commission reputation, a purpose built studio, national retail presence and a credible mentoring offering. We found her corner and built everything around it.
The Brand:
The visual identity needed to do something very specific. It had to feel like the artist Kate has become, not the one she started as. Refined, contemporary, grounded in the country she paints every day. Feminine but elevated. The kind of brand a serious collector trusts immediately.
The Website
E-commerce does not have to be boring.
What we started with was a WordPress site that had been built in layers over the years. A theme that was showing its age, sections tacked on as the business grew, stock that was not holding correctly when purchases were made, and a manual payment process that was clunky for both Kate and her collectors. It worked, but only just. And it was not built for where Kate was heading.
The migration to Shopify gave us a clean slate to build something intentional from the ground up. Every page, every word, every decision was made with Kate's three distinct audiences front of mind. The collector who already knows which paddock she wants painted. The one who finds her story waiting for her on the canvas. And the emerging artist who just needs someone to tell her she is not doing it wrong.
